“ I entered CESAPU - HOP HANDS ON PERU in 2018, after seeing the work they were doing had a community public health focus. I contacted CESAPU with a passion to be a part of the team and start a Health Promoters project, which was well-received and complements the work that CESAPU was already doing. The way CESAPU treats the community (cordially, directly, genuinely, and receptively), inspired me to work with them. It has been only some months, and I am not tired of being surprised by the staff’s continuous impulse for the wellbeing of the population of Villa Los Angeles, as well as for all the people who come to this center looking for services. CESAPU is public health in action, it is not a metaphor, it is a reality. It is a real intervention with impact on the public health of this community that I feel honored to be a part of."
